I'm a partner at Mosaic Building Group, a tech-enabled, vertically integrated construction company that partners with residential homebuilders to help them build at faster speeds and lower costs. Based on several years of research at MIT and Stanford, we have developed a programming system that allows us to program the construction of buildings — combining computational steps (performed by computers) with physical steps (performed by human beings). We use this programming system to automate, monitor, and coordinate every part of the construction process, which allows us to help residential homebuilders build at faster speeds and lower costs. Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Greylock Partners, Thrive Capital, Innovation Endeavors, and 8VC.
Before Mosaic, I worked as an investor in early stage real estate technology companies, as a founding executive in a tech-enabled hospitality company leveraging big data to purchase and operate real estate in secondary US markets, and - earlier in my career - as an investor in healthcare, biotech, and cleantech companies. I’m a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Real Estate Technology and Innovation Council in NYC, and serve on several real estate technology company boards.
